Founded as a media apostolate of the Paulist Fathers, we make films not for the already-faithful, but for everyone wrestling with what it means to be human.
OUR HISTORY
Six Decades of Storytelling
1960
Father Ellwood “Bud” Kaiser founds Paulist Productions as a media apostolate, bringing faith storytelling to mainstream television.
1960s–1980s
The Insight Series runs for over 20 years, 210 episodes of moral storytelling featuring Martin Sheen, Bob Newhart, and Hollywood’s finest. Wins 5 Daytime Emmys.
1990s–2000s
Expands into theatrical films. Reaches millions through broadcast television and global distribution.
2020s
Launches documentary slate with Fighting Spirit and Baseball: Beyond Belief. Partners with PBS, FS1, and Tubi to reach new audiences.
Screen a Film
Baseball: Beyond Belief
Directed by John Sheinfeld. Featuring Joe Torre, Curtis Granderson, and MLB footage, a meditation on how America's pastime reveals the deepest truths about faith, community, and redemption.
