Eric Andrews, CSP continued a 40-year tradition of “The Hollywood Priest” when he stepped into the role of President for Paulist Productions in September 2009. His credits include a three year production staff position with The Jim Henson Company working on productions including “Down at Fraggle Rock: Behind the Scenes” and “the Ghost of Faffner Hall” for HBO, The Jim Henson Hour, an NBC series, and “Free to Be…A Family,” an ABC Special. He had a hand in many things at Jim Henson’s company, including some puppets!

In 1999, Fr. Eric conducted a series of on-air interviews following John F. Kennedy’s death for Fox News Channel and gave his impression of the movie Dogma on Sunday Morning News, CNN. During that same period, he produced “Sunday to Sunday,” a Paulist Media Works Home Video Series. In 2003, he was Executive Producer of “Jim Henson: Creator of Dreams,” a PBS documentary. Most recently he was the Creator/Co-Producer of “The Princess, The Priest and the War for the Perfect Wedding,” a successful Internet series. He also currently appears as the Co-Host of the series.

Fr. Eric just completed nine years as pastor and campus minister at Blessed John XXIII University Parish on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. “Rev. Andrews has had an impact not only on students in his congregation at John XXIII but has reached out to the whole university,” said acting U.T. president Jan Simek.

Ordained fourteen years, he has previously ministered as a parish priest in New York City and as a priest/TV producer in Washington D.C. at Paulist Media Works. He was born and raised in the Hudson Valley of New York. He completed his Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts in 1987 at New York University Film School and received his Masters of Divinity at the Catholic University of America in 1994.
